| I'm a landscape, scenic, travel, and still life photographer living in Cocoa Beach, Florida. My first exposure to photography was through family photo sessions which my father, a photographer in the Air Force, took very seriously. He was meticulous with exposure, composition, and treatment of his equipment. When he retired from the Air Force, he bought a photo studio and so I was around photo shoots for most of the first 20 years of my life. During the 70s, I took several photography classes in a nearby junior college and dabbled in labs at school and at my dad's shop, and more recently have taken photography courses at the University of Central Florida. I've contributed to the rise in Amazon stock through the purchase of a countless number of photography how-to, style, and philosophy books, and have taught photography at the elementary school level as an artistic form of expression, or combined with creative and documentary writing. I shoot in RAW format and have used Photoshop extensively over the past couple of years to process and enhance my photo images and have recently begun to explore alternative and cross-over photography - combining digital and traditional processes. I find these detours mentally exhilarating and I'm continually experimenting with different techniques, methods, and processes.
Some of my work appears or has appeared in "Spanish Moss Productions", "Cocoa Beach Surf Museum Newsletter" and "The Beachside Resident." I'm available for classes and workshops in the Brevard County area. I print my photographs on Epson archival paper using Epson K3 Unltrachrome ink on an Epson R2400 printer. Please contact me for more information on purchasing prints or conducting a workshop. |
